The Irish born National hero, who the club is named after, was Argentina's first admiral and is often referred to as the 'Father of the Argentine Navy'. The shirt features a sketch of William 'Guillermo' Brown on the front and another sketch of a ship on the back. Its colours were taken from an old English locomotive called “Rocket”, famous for winning a competition in the UK organized in 1829 by the Liverpool to Manchester Railway
